WHAT Is the Most Misspelled Word?
What is the most misspelled word? Well, that depends on where you live. People in Maryland have trouble spelling "special," while those in Louisiana get hung up on "giraffe."

Google has helpfully (or embarrassingly?) figured out which words give us the most spelling trouble--state by state. To do this, the tech wizards looked at all Google searches of "how to spell (fill in the blank)" generated from every state and the District of Columbia from January 1 to April 30, 2017. The word that appeared in the blank most often from each state was crowned as that state's most misspelled word.

Make someone smile! From ''fartlek to ''shivoo,'' find out 10 funny words you can use in everyday conversations.

The longest misspelled word is the made-up word "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" from the movie "Mary Poppins" (West Virginia and Connecticut) and the shortest is "gray" (Georgia). Two words tied for the most misspelled word: "beautiful" and "pneumonia." The former tripped up residents of California, Kentucky, Minnesota, New York and Ohio, while the latter flummoxed those in Alabama, Illinois, Maine, Michigan and Washington.

The most amusing one of all? Wisconsin residents searched for the spelling of "Wisconsin."
