Tropical Depression Eight moving away from North Carolina coast: NHC
(Reuters) - Tropical Depression Eight, now moving away from the North Carolina coast, could strengthen into a tropical storm on Wednesday, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said.
The depression was located about 135 miles (220 kilometers) east of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, with maximum sustained winds of 35 miles per hour (55 kilometers).
