This NOAA image taken by GOES East on August 24, 2016, shows weather disturbance Invest 99L to the west near Puerto Rico and Tropical Storm Gaston to the east. According to NOAA's National Hurricane Center, Tropical Storm Gaston could reach hurricane strength today, however the storm could move into environmental conditions that might weaken it temporarily.
