TO GO WITH AFP STORY BY JORDANE BERTRAND A photo taken on June 16, 2016 shows graves of "Tirailleurs senegalais" (Senegalese Tirailleurs) at the cimetery of Teste-de-Buch. The Senegalese Tirailleurs were a corps of colonial infantry in the French Army recruited from Senegal. In April 1916, French military authorities had set a camp in Teste-de-Buch to acclimate colonial troops to European weather.
