Justin Bieber 'pays grieving strangers' bar bill'

Justin Bieber showed off his caring side after he reportedly covered the bar tab of a grieving group of strangers in Los Angeles.

The Sorry hitmaker was at the Residuals Tavern in Studio City on Tuesday (16Aug16) when he noticed customers at a nearby table crying, TMZ.com reports.

When Bieber reportedly asked the bartender why the group were noticeably grieving, he was told that a regular at the bar, named JD, had tragically died earlier that day.

The man, who was in his 20s, had fallen to his death from a fire escape. TMZ.com reports Justin was so moved by the story he paid their bar tab.

The Canadian popstar has hit headlines with news of his bad boy antics on numerous occasions, but he is also keenly involved in charity work and regularly donates to those in need.

The 22-year-old surprised Spain Elementary-Middle School in Detroit earlier this year (16) while on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, after discovering the school had no heating, books, technology, a fully-functioning roof or a complete set of teaching staff.

Justin pledged to donate thousands of dollars, on top of the $500,000 promised by the 58-year-old chat show host.
