Report: Pelicans F Davis (ankle) doubtful for Friday

As the New Orleans Pelicans look for their 11th consecutive win on Friday night, they might be forced to face the Washington Wizards without All-Star forward Anthony Davis.

According to an ESPN report, Davis is day to day and listed as doubtful for Friday's game in D.C.

The 24-year-old rolled his left ankle late in the third quarter of Wednesday night's win over the Sacramento Kings and did not return. His point total of 17 was six points below his previous low mark during New Orleans' current win streak. He has scored more than 40 points in five contests during this 10-game run.

Davis has missed six previous games this season, with the Pelicans going 3-3 in his absence. They entered Thursday 12 games over .500 (38-26) and sit fourth in the Western Conference, a half-game back of the Portland Trail Blazers for third.
