Boxing movies are making a comeback lately, although they are often more about the struggles of fighters outside the ring than the punches they land on their opponents. "Bleed for This," shown at the Toronto Film Festival this week, tells the true story of American middleweight Vinny Pazienza's successful return to the ring just 13 months after fracturing his neck in car crash in 1991.
Flirty designs at Kors, nature an inspiration for Marchesa at New York shows
Designer Michael Kors opted for flirty skirts and defined waistlines at his romantic New York Fashion Week show while label Marchesa paid tribute to nature and the colors of the day for its spring/summer 2017 collection. Former Beatles Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr reunited for a walk down memory lane on Thursday for the premiere of a documentary by Oscar winner Ron Howard about the Fab Four as they toured the world in the 1960s. Former Massachusetts Teamster pleads guilty to extorting TV show
A former head of the Teamsters union in Boston pleaded guilty on Thursday to attempted extortion for trying to intimidate a non-union company to hire union workers while filming a reality TV show, according to court papers. The man, Mark Harrington, was accused of threatening to disrupt filming of "Top Chef" in a Boston suburb in June 2014, because the production company was using non-union workers.

The director and star of a film about a hitman who is put through gender reassignment surgery by a relative of one of his victims defended the project as it had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on Wednesday. "(re)Assignment" stars Michelle Rodriguez as an assassin named Frank Kitchen. After killing the brother of a brilliant but deranged surgeon, Kitchen is captured and awakes to find himself unwillingly turned into a woman.
