Putin says ban on Russian Paralympic team is cynical, immoral
MOSCOW, Aug 25 (Reuters) - A ban imposed on Russia's Paralympic team to compete in Rio is cynical and immoral, President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday, while saying that Moscow acknowledged its mistakes and would improve the national anti-doping system.
Addressing Russia's athletes who had competed at the Rio Olympic Games, Putin also said that international anti-doping organizations were subject to political pressure. (Reporting by Dmitry Solovyov; Editing by Maria Kiselyova)
