Democrats could force vote on U.S. high court nominee Garland -Reid

WASHINGTON, Aug 11 (Reuters) - U.S. Senate Democrats may try a procedural move to force a vote on President Barack Obama's nomination of judge Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court, Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid said on Thursday.

"We have a couple of options and we are deciding when to do that. And if we should do that. When and if," Reid said in a conference call with reporters.

The Republican majority in Congress has refused to schedule hearings on Garland's nomination.
