Future fires back at Rocko lawsuit
Future is countersuing fellow rapper/producer Rocko for money he is allegedly owed for recording costs and album advances.
Rocko, real name Rodney Ramone Hill, Jr., accused the Jumpman hitmaker of breach of contract in June (16), claiming he discovered Future and subsequently signed him to his A1 Recordings label in 2011.
The deal allegedly required Future to record his first six albums with the company, but he reportedly broke the agreement by making a side deal with Epic Records executives, who distributed his music, and earned himself millions in advances while reportedly leaving Rocko out of the picture.
He sued for $10 million , but now Future is firing back, insisting Rocko is the one who failed the honor their contract, which he maintains was not an exclusive deal.
Ciara's ex, real name Nayvadius Cash, blasts Rocko's accusations in new legal papers obtained by TMZ.com, and claims he is the one owed money for costs A1 bosses were supposed to pick up.
He is suing Rocko's firm for studio costs and $10,000 advances he claims he should have received for each album to date. Future released his fourth solo studio album, EVOL, in February (16).
