Morrissey launching pop-up shop for animal charity
Singer and activist Morrissey is launching a pop-up shop to raise money for a New York-based dog rescue shelter.
The former The Smiths rocker has long been an outspoken advocate for animals, and before he plays to a sold-out crowd at the Kings Theater in Brooklyn next week (begs19SEp16), his MPORIUM merchandise store will be setting up at the local Sugar Mutts Rescue, a dog adoption center.
Fans can head to the pop-up shop to purchase limited edition Morrissey T-shirts, posters, pillowcases and more, and a fee and percentage profit of the sales will go towards the charity, which rescues pooches from high-kill shelters.
The MPORIUM pop-up will be open before the star's concert on 24 September (16), as well as the day after on 25 September.
