Mary J. Blige guest starring on How To Get Away with Murder
Mary J. Blige has joined the cast of hit TV drama How To Get Away with Murder as a guest star.
The No More Drama hitmaker's role is being kept under wraps, but she will join Viola Davis in season three of the show.
Davis previously opened up about the new season and while she didn't divulge many details she told Deadline.com there will be a "new mystery", adding, "It's going to be presented very quickly in the first episode."
This isn't Blige's first foray into TV - she previously appeared in Empire, Black-ish, and The Wiz Live!.
She also starred in the movies Rock of Ages and Black Nativity, while her latest film Mudbound is set for release next year (17).
The casting news comes a month after Blige filed court documents seeking to end her 12-year marriage to husband and business manager Kendu Isaacs in July (16).
