Actor T.R. Knight rescues scared freeway dog
Former Grey's Anatomy star T.R. Knight turned animal angel at the weekend when he came to the rescue of a stray dog.
The actor was on his way to the Grand Canyon in Arizona at the weekend (06-07Aug16), when he spotted a little dog "darting back and forth on the busy freeway".
In an Instagram post, the animal lover revealed he felt compelled to pull over and help the scared canine.
"He was emaciated with his ribs and hip bones poking through, covered in ticks and fleas," he wrote. "We took him to @canyonpethospital and met our heroes Michelle, Jessica, Katie, Kristen and Dr. Amstutz. They spent over 2 hours removing hundreds of ticks from this brave little guy."
Knight and his partner Patrick Leahy then adopted the pet and later named him Traveler.
"The Grand Canyon will have to wait, as we welcome our newest family member," he added. "Another adventure begins!"
