Syria ceasefire in jeopardy -U.S. Central Command

WASHINGTON, Sept 20 (Reuters) - A ceasefire in Syria is in jeopardy and there has been an uptick in violence, a U.S. Central Command official said on Tuesday.

Central Command spokesman Colonel John Thomas told reporters during a telephone briefing, "It's a diplomatic call whether or not there has been compliance with that effort, but we have seen an uptick in violence."
