U.S. SEC charges Leon Cooperman with insider trading

Sept 21 (Reuters) - The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Wednesday charged hedge fund manager Leon Cooperman and his firm Omega Advisors with having relied on private information to make trades.

Cooperman's trading involved purchasing securities in Atlas Pipeline Partners, the SEC said. (Reporting by Suzanne Barlyn; Editing by Chizu Nomiyama)
