Russia's ruling party wins 54.2 pct in election after 90 pct counted

MOSCOW, Sept 19 (Reuters) - The ruling United Russia party has 54.2 percent of the vote after 90 percent ballots were counted on Monday in Russia's parliamentary election, data from the election commission showed.

The Communist party was in second place with 13.5 percent of the vote, followed by the Liberal Democrats party (LDPR) on 13.3 percent and the Just Russia party on 6.2 percent, according to the incomplete vote count. (Reporting by Maria Kiselyova; Editing by Shri Navaratnam)
