Russia's ruling party wins 51 pct in election: preliminary tally
MOSCOW, Sept 19 (Reuters) - The ruling United Russia party has 51 percent of the vote after a quarter of ballots were counted on Monday in Russia's parliamentary election, data from the election commission showed.
The Liberal Democrats party (LDPR) was in second place with 15.1 percent of the vote, followed by the Communist party on 14.9 percent and the Just Russia party on 6.4 percent, according to the incomplete vote count. (Reporting by Polina Devitt; editing by Christian Lowe)
