Central African Republic rebels kill 26 villagers -presidential spokesman

ABIDJAN, Sept 17 (Reuters) - Rebels have killed 26 villagers in northern Central African Republic, a spokesman for the presidency said on Saturday.

"Seleka (rebels) went door to door in a village called Ndomete. The village chief was among the victims ... It was a massacre," said Albert Mokpeme said. (Reporting by Joe Bavier; Editing by Louise Ireland)
