Norway's ruling Conservatives pitch for moderate tax relief ahead of elections

OSLO, Sept 7 (Reuters) - Norway's ruling Conservative Party plans to campaign for a moderate reduction of taxes in next year's general election campaign, draft policy proposals released by a key party committee showed on Wednesday.

The party will finalize its 2017-2021 policy platform early next year.

The center-right Conservatives govern in a minority coalition with the populist Progress Party. The two rely on the backing of two smaller centrist parties to win a majority for policies in parliament.

The general election is due to be held in September 2017. (Reporting by Joachim Dagenborg, writing by Terje Solsvik, editing by Gwladys Fouche)
