Two planes carrying five people collide mid-air in Alaska -media

Aug 31 (Reuters) - Two small planes that were carrying a total of five passengers collided in mid-air in Alaska on Wednesday morning, the Alaska Dispatch News reported.

Alaska National Guard spokeswoman Lt. Col. Candis Olmstead confirmed to the newspaper that the crash happened around 11 a.m. local time some 60 miles north of the city of Bethel.
