Girlfriend of the Ex Boss
The night before Thanksgiving, 2000, I went to the local bar for a drink. I noticed the girlfriend of an ex boss. They had been together for 7 years and he never had a nice thing to say about her. Actually, I got the impression she was nearly frigid. I sat next to her and she explained how they had a fight and she wanted to unwind. I kept the conversation topical and enjoyable. After a few drinks, the tension between us began to rise. I was dating three women at the time; nothing serious. I didn't realize he told her of my exploits, but she gave me details that surprised me. I also couldn't believe this woman was not the "asexual witch" that he described to me, but an absolutely sensual, beautiful lady. At one point, she excused herself to go to the bathroom. When she got to the door, she turned back and motioned for me to follow. I was off that barstool and heading towards her like white on rice. When inside the bathroom, we immediately hugged and kissed. It was one of the most passionate moments I ever experienced. I calmly walked out of the bathroom afterwards. She followed a few minutes later and we tried to act like nothing happened. We had a couple of more drinks and I drove her home. We made love many times that night. We became husband and wife a few months later and we enjoy each others' company, friendship, and love to the utmost. And yes, that same intense tension we had on that first night still exists. I hope others find love like this.
