Work on Your Communication Skills
When you find a woman who's easy to talk to, you know it. Communication is smoother, and you're both more relaxed around each other. But that doesn't mean that you don't need to make an effort to keep the lines open.
Women want to know how you're feeling. If you don't tell them with words, they'll come to their own conclusions - sometimes good, sometimes bad - based on your body language and actions.
Conversation Filler or Killer
For starters, notice whether one of you tends to dominate conversations. In order to learn how compatible you are, asking about her interests and feelings is vital. Telling her about yours is, too. Try to encourage give and take, rather than filling silences by talking on and on.
Even if conversational pauses make you uncomfortable, give her a chance to do her part and fill in the gaps as well. Otherwise, she might just give up and shut up. Then you'll be missing your chance to get to know her better.
You might be more comfortable talking in person rather than on the phone. Or maybe you rely exclusively on text. Be sensitive to her communication desires if you want to make a good impression and keep her interested.
In the beginning, e-mail can lay some groundwork for getting to know each other. But hearing your voice is important to her and helps her connect with you on a deeper level. Make time to talk in person and on the phone at the start of the relationship. It helps to forge a bond and lets her know you care enough to make the effort.
Whether phone, text or e-mail, too much communication or too little can lead a girl to lose interest. A week without talking tells her you don't care. Texting 10 times a day when you just met tells her you're annoyingly clingy. Strive for some in between.
As you begin to date regularly, keep things interesting and flirty with phone calls or texts every other day or even every day, depending on how you're feeling. When you're really into the relationship, she wants to hear from you every day. And not via e-mail. But pay attention to her response rate. If you're texting back and forth and she doesn't respond, give her some space. She has a life too and might need some breathing room.
