What I Wanted...
I knew what I wanted
or so I thought.
You came along and changed all that.
Our friendship grew,
and our love got strong,
but we both knew a commitment was wrong.
So we took a chance and became good friends,
even if it ended badly.
Our friendship grew strong,
as our love got stronger.
In the end it was a commitment we longed for.
You made me laugh and I made you happy,
the only down fall was that you loved me.
I loved you too; don't get me wrong,
that's the whole reason why I wrote you this poem.
