A Place Where the Streets Have No Names
Floating down a river called emotion
Into strong arms like oceans
I need you to mend me
I waited for love
to rescue me from lonely nights
yet when it came to my door
one morning with calm eyes to deliver itself
I turned it away
To come to you
You with your gentle lightning
spinning like Orion
But you only offer comfort
Which is highly over-rated
Your touch, the slow migration of birds
It must be midwinter,
because my skies are empty
My skin silent without your song
