Poetry: Bitter Poetry
bitter suicide
by Ciara Werber

Lying on your back.
Floating in a pool of black.
My hands drenched in blood.
Deep red. Like a biblical flood.
Shaking you.
Trying to awaken you
Your eyes are open.
No response is spoken.
White as snow skin.
Eyes are sunken in.

Souls vacated.
Empty. Not even blood fills this body

Black block in your hand.
Now I understand.
Left your body for me to find.
Guess you didn’t think I would mind.
Angry at you. How could you.
Forever bitter.
Death in a cold winter
