Poetry: Bitter Poetry
$hell Oil
by Ben Wuloo Ikari

$HELL

Never on earth could you be; in Papa's eyes you are disguised death
In old mama's dying ears you whisper "Hell, hell."
Pouncing and brutish you are, a predator upon my progeny.

Ogoni hears you, vampire, extinction, genocide
You claw her veins and drain her blood;
The innocent are shattered in your realm. She is strangled out, wailing and gnashing her teeth.

Never on earth could you be slashing your hot tongue-never upon
Ogoni, the finger that fed you

As much as you are, oh, Shell, hell is yours.
