Epedemic Gossip

questions demanded
they flow as rushing water
on the nervous, innocent man
conspiracy from a gossip
that should have never came to
be asked, not worth discussing.
none of it is true
its somewhat remarkable,
an issue that appears so insignificant
can become an epidemic which dominates all,
all the stations all the channels all the headlines and columns
every source of political scrutiny,
screaming a million words a second
all in criticism, all condemning never giving him a chance
so much for his career,
so much for his
Success
he wasn’t racists or a chauvinist or all that partisan
but it doesn’t matter they’ll believe what they want to
it’s no consolation that he receives presidential pardon
he may never be trusted by the masses again
