Poetry: Bitter Poetry
Happy Moment
by Muna Vega

It's the strangest feeling of being happy,
Having my concious cheer me on.
She's brought me up here, where the air is crisp and cold.
For I now reside on cloud 9, and I'm loving the punch.
Here is the place all the bubbles and yellow ballons in the world are lifted from childens hands into the sanctuary where only birds and angels are allowed.
Yet, like those birds and feathered beings, I fly past the clouds into the stars on my own wings.
I grasp a star in my hands, while others are entangled in my hair.
I then make a wish upon it, and throw in down to earth.
'That star is your soulmate,' my concious tells me. You shall find him in the future.
'Now return to you bed on the earth, so you can sleep and dream of him.'
