Poetry: Bitter Poetry
Dance They Did
by Larrie D.

A beautiful table in a cozy corner
the night is special, but unknown to her.
On the table are candles barely
and tonight, he knows, is really it.

So gently he takes here by the hand,
and places on her finger, his love band.
Her eyes sparkle in the candlelight,
much brighter than the full moon's light.

A band is playing, and with no words to say,
the dance floor's where they made they way.
The music slows, the lights are low,
Dance they did, but all so slow.

Oh how he needs her so much.
He cannot be without her touch.
In him she found a great need,
and yes, their love is real indeed.

Outside under the full moon's light,
their passion exploded with all its might.
OOOOOOOhhhhhhhhhhhhh Baby, love begins to flow,
Dance They Did, but all so slow
