Poetry: Bitter Poetry
LWOP
by don

From the wings of hell I fly,
Over the black and narrow way,
The shadows pass me by,
The smell of powder fills the day.

To the trees with no leaves,
To the steps full of screams,
I fly till my stomach heaves,
I land on the walk with no dreams.

Smiles and kisses are far behind,
White and brown lay on green,
The rolled bill pays no mind,
Burning reaches sights unseen.

Life with no life,
Pain with no pain,
The days go by in strife,
Nights filled with rain.

Caps go out to hide,
Racing the blue I run,
Cats go along for the ride,
Tomorrow, I pray, it will be done
