Poetry: Bitter Poetry
Beauty
by Michael Nelson

Colors so bright you can see for miles
Like a smile that lights up the heavens above
To look past the trees, into the light, which blinds me with simplicity.
I look for only the beauty that it holds, waiting for it to let me in,
To envelop me, with all its grace

As it comes to a close I know I wont see such beauty and awe ever again.
Except until I glance into your eyes.
she blinds me with her beauty.
Only she, I see surrounded by rays of light
Only she, I think about in the endless nights
Watching the colors unfold before my eyes
And with each color I fall deeper and deeper hers.

Breathless with every breath I make,
To witness such magnificence
Takes me to a whole new place
Which I’ve yet to ever taste
She is my sunrise and my sunset
The start to my end
