Poetry: Bitter Poetry
Watercolor Scars
by Katherine

Watercolor scars,
Wet blood turns dry and dark.
And skin sews itself back together,
While watercolor scars
Fade away.
And the razor was a needle to create
A quilt of mental anguish.
The pain locked in the tan material.
The emotional wars,
Always forever reaching,
And falling from the stars.
On the outside looking in.
Tears embedded in the flesh
And the crimson liquid oozing out.
Staring at watercolor scars
That fade away,
Leaving a small pale reminder
Engraved in the skin.
