Poetry: Bitter Poetry
Where It All Will End
by Matt Trevino

When darkness finds something to hold on to
Will you walk away?
Will you turn away?
Hold my hand, learn to look away
From this stitched up symphony
Of orchestrated pain
Sometimes we have to
Give up on believing
That people change
That they learn to forget
Even though we
Will never be able to fly
Does that mean
We waste away and wonder why
Something's giving
Into these
Blacked out feelings
Of souless remedies
For a sickness in me
That I will never rid myself of
Watch the life streak across the sky
Feel the whispers
From somewhere far away
Something's falling, forever destroyed
Forget what you know
Or watch it fall into the flame
