Poetry: Bitter Poetry
Black and White
by nina elaine borum

I wanna make love in black and white
Hold hands in the moonlight
Kiss till sunrise...just kiss.

I wanna make love in black and white
No fancy hotel
Just the brush of your lips and the scent of my hair
We could be anywhere.

I wanna make love in black and white
No fireworks in the sky
Just our toes flirting at quarter past 9.

I wanna make love in black and white
Sit close at church
Knowing that in a second
You'll whisper
"I love you" and hold me closer.

I wanna make love in black and white
Pretend I'm listening to the birds
When I'm really listening to the beat of your heart..
As we lay on your grandma's blanket, in the park

I wanna make love in black and white
Spoon on your messy bed
Reminisce on the things we've shared
Your mom knows it's time for me to go home
But she knows what it's like
to make love
In black and white.
