Stuck in a Moment
by Kristopher Kelly
Have you ever been stuck in a moment that enveloped all of your senses?
A moment that seemed to manifest all of your past, present, and pre-tenses?
Have you ever felt that feeling pain was your lifelong duty?
But the hurt it caused that you saw was a thing of beauty?
You want to break away from the overcrowded void,
But the you that could be is already destroyed.
And the you that is just aint what you imagined,
Cuz now youre dealing with pain that you never could have fathomed.
You want to make a change, and make it for the better,
But in the book of your life, you struggle, through every single letter.
Like the princess that lay dead, in the arms of her prince charming,
The reality you live with becomes more and more alarming.
Cuz you know that you'll never get anywhere, traveling on this path,
And the storm you survived, left you crippled in its aftermath.
The tears in your eyes just wont seem to dry,
And nothing seems to happen, no matter how hard you try.
You look up and see nothing but a sunless, birdless, grey sky.
And the you that you desire is nowhere in sight.
Dont give up. Be strong, and fight the good fight.
