Poetry: Bitter Poetry
Through These Eyes
by Joe

Through these eyes you see pain
A soul tattered and will never be the same
My heart shatters as it hits the floor
As you turn your back and walk out the door
Hit the lights, fade to black
For I know I can never have you back
Left my mind my heart my soul to you
Could only watch as you played me for the fool
Now you come crawling back, carrying another soul inside you
Ask me what to do, beg me to pray for you
I have no advice to give, my faith no longer lives
Should have thought before carrying out with what you did
You come asking wanting me to be there
Sorry but I wish to remain here
I too have dreams I wish to come true
Had enough of sacrificing to give the world to you.
