Poetry: Bitter Poetry
Fallen
by Sara A. Miller

Falling for one, I shouldn't...
Another fell for me, I couldn't...
He came along, I wouldn't....
He made a move, I didn't....
So why do I fall for those,
The men who will never treat me right?
Why do I throw those away,
Those that don't always want to fight?
There's so much confusion;
Is this my illusion?
Have I lost all reality?
Why is it I can't see,
See my heart in all of this?
I want to find that love,
That unforgettable bliss.
Fell in love....
Broken heart....
I should have known we would fall apart....
Yet then, I do it once again.
My heart yurns for pain....
I should have known,
Known you'd catch me in your broken chain.
But I let you take me in,
I let you break my heart,
I let you lie to me from the start,
I should have seen,
I should have known,
But I didn't .....
You've lost my respect,
Yet my heart will always belong to you.
I've fallen.
