Poetry: Lust & Passion
Two
by Jackie Jones

What makes me the fool
Is to think that I can break the rules.
Never just single, lusting duel
Always wanting multiple.

I've been seen as the rebel type
Trifling with &enticed by night.
On the edge of twilight
Breaking my given plight.

Simply lit by a flame
A heat I won't refrain
All excuses very lame
Only bearer of blame & shame.

Like the lady, I embrace
The touch, the taste & the gaze
These feelings may be misplaced
Lonely living with disgrace.

For my folly I beg pardon
Help me not to be so wanton
Forgive me for what I have done
And let me be content with one.
