Lest I Die
by Byron Swetland
This longing.
This wanting; I cannot continue on.
I perish each moment without you nestled close within my
arms.
I am emptied out before you; I am but dust.
For your alluring eyes have captured my heart;
Your flawless beauty, the very depths of my soul.
Fill me with your tenderness and cause me to feast upon your
love;
Lest I die in vain, and am no more.
