fading
by marlene scheer
Bleeding into existence not noticed.
Running into fields that hold my happiness.
The sky remembers who I am.
Knowing my daily schedule.
I make a change to see if it's recognized.
Today the skies are gray.
A storm is forming.
It did not like my little game of difference.
I shall apologize and cross my heart; never again.
The rain is hard.
It's windy making the trees dance to it's arrival.
But the sun is forcing it's way through.
Giving to me a faint smile as acceptence of games.
My dog howls to the whistling wind.
I only slip into the shadows of my room, now ready to surrender.
