Poetry: Lust & Passion
Your Smile Ruins It All
by Andrew Schneider

Crying, you look up, and say no
I don't know, where we will go
Friendship is what we decide
Partnership in which we confide...
Yet it doesn't seem right
We should be together
Friendship isn't an option
We try so hard to make it work
Yet our emotions will always lurk
I try to not think of you like that
...Then you smile
World crashes down
Dissolving my frown
Heart on the floor
Because you I adore
Beautiful person outside
Ten times better inside
Yet, to you I lied
I said, I had never cried
I said it didn't bother me
It is about to smother me
But you say we can't be
All because you refuse to see
How perfect you are for me!
