Caught the rat

They pulled the rat
from his dwelling in the ground
where he thought he could live unnoticed
and could never be found.
Little did he realize
there was too much at stake
to come home again, empty handed.
So they extracted that snake.
His capture was quick and painless.
He did not fight or push.
The soldiers even greeted him with special
"Regards from President Bush!!!"
Congratulations troops
for a job well done.
This calls for great celebration.
Today is your day in the sun.
