Poetry: Lust & Passion
Just A Moment Of Your Time
by dancequeenPA

Is it really so wrong to want you?
You're what's keeping me from the bluest kind of blue
Yeah, what I want I don't ever think I'll get
The last thing I want, though, is you to forget
All the talks we've shared
Ha, I thought you cared
If you didn't, it's just as well
I'll never know, you'll never tell

I just wanted a moment of your time
Ok, I really wanted you to be mine
And I wanted that moment to last forever
So we could always be together
We grow older
We grow colder
You have my heart
And you're ripping it part
And I just want to say
That I almost gave you up today

I don't know
Why I can't let you go
I think of you a lot
I just hope you haven't forgot
We used to be friends
I'm not sure if we are now, but that's how it ends
I guess, although, I'd rather it never went away
Thinking of what could be is enough to say
The least, considering of what you've put me through
These words and thoughts of mine are long overdue

I just wanted a moment of your time
Ok, I really wanted you to be mine
And I wanted that moment to last forever
So we could always be together
We grow older
We grow colder
You have my heart
And you're tearing it part
I just want to say
That I almost gave you up today

You'll never know this, but because of you, I have been thru a lot of pain
I haven't seen much sun, mostly rain
I guess some things aren't meant to happen ever
But maybe some things are
Like how we'll never be together
But how you'll always have my heart
