Poetry: Friendship & Soulmates
Daddy's Little Girl
by Sarah Mintz

I can’t tell you how much,
I hate your yelling.
And when you come back,
From outside smelling.

When you tell me something,
And forget you have,
So you tell me again,
I get so mad!

You mess up my hair,
When you kiss my good bye.
You dont' understand why,
I suddenly start to cry.

When you tell me a thousand times,
To go to bed, it’s late.
The way you think all my guy friends,
Are my date.

You HAVE to take pictures,
Of everything I do.
All of the above,
Make me so angry at you!

But although all of this is true,
I’ll never love another guy like I love you.
And even if sometimes you make my head whirl,
I’ll always be daddy’s little girl.
