I HEARD HER CRY
by KIMBERLY ANGELONE

I heard her cry,
I ran to her,
The crying stopped,
I could not find her,

It was dark and scary,
I was determined to help,
Make her stop crying,
But, I ran back to bed,

Covers over my head,
I peeked out again,
When I heard her cry,
I knew that cry,

I ran toward the sound,
She was not there,
I woke from the dream,
I cried in pain.
