Always Friends

in life we meet the people,
without who we could not live.
the people who will love you most,
and always find a way to give.
for me it was the same,
he was always there for me.
he made me smile and made me laugh,
but was too blind to see.
friends forever we used to say,
and i said it with a smile,
the only thing he did not know,
he's the reason life is worth while.
he told me his hopes and dreams,
and about the perfect wife,
i wish i could just tell him,
she's been there his whole life.
he holds me when i'm scared,
he holds me when i cry,
he holds me when i need it,
without even knowing why.
"always friends" he tells me,
"i love you through and through"
so i look at him with painted eyes and say,
"i love you too."
