Poetry: Friendship & Soulmates
Are You Really Alone
by MichelleS

So we met some months ago
I was left homeless without my car.
You knew I slept alone outside on the beach
you even knew the bug bites above my knee,
so my question of this did I capture your heart
or was just circumstance
I new friend in need
just to share a moment with someone in desperate need
So are you really alone
as you said you are
do you think of me when we are apart
do you put up a strange front
and for what reason is that
i see you as a friend
and a lover
i just want to know there are several others
these days we have to be careful
monogamy is a healthy and smart choice
