Poetry: Friendship & Soulmates
Thy surrendered soul
by Maurice Dula

My breath escapes me, the words escape me, your caresses escapes me,
A lasting, lingering thought of circumstance of
Divine everlasting. My estranged heart
Captivated no more, for my inner demons still mourn
And reap emptiness on my only sanity-Your Heart-, the
Surmise of my only evolution, the reckoning force upon
My only existence

My soul escapes me; the void surrounds my only discontent, this one
Very delicate moment, a moment unwavering in its undying love
And benevolence. The pure substance I am sustained on beholding
Is the –UN hold able, by my love or by thy will, shall take
Me on my way and entangle my mind, where you molded me, to
Believing I could have your heart once more.

My cries escape me, your kisses escape me, the pain subdues me,
A realization that the separation enlightens our circumstance,
but leaves me powerless to thy will. To have a completed me
Once again, this one life to live, above all consumes my every
Thought. I feel your deep demise of me, yet a last communion of
Solitude in the matter. For loved and eternity is but one second
With you.
