Knowings
She lay her ear to his arm.
And yes, there in the marrow
Of his bone, she heard the
Keening of an ancient wind.
Taking his fingers in hers,
She touched the tips
Feeling the wisdom
That discerned a craftsman's hand.
His eyes, she saw, could see
A thousand years at a glance.
Standing back she let go.
Looking with the long gaze
Into his heart.
There beat a kindness, a passion,
A tenderness unspent.
A heart destined to be free
But free to love.
And he did love already, many.
Family, friends, and kin.
He loved the unknown places
And the known..
The levels of reality
The shifting and interweave
of time.
He was looking now for that
Special find.
His true beloved
Across all time.
