Poetry: Friendship & Soulmates
a poem for my patrick
by Dianne

each and everyday i use to cry tears of pain.
little did i know my life was soon about to change.
it all started with a single glimpse of you
i got lost in those eyes, so gree, so blue.
then with an innocent touch sparks flew
although it wasnt much.
you whispered sweet things
you made my heart flutter
i wanted to tell you how i felt but i knew i'd just stutter.
a kiss that made me feel so weak it left me unable to speak.
you aksed me to be your girlfriend
and i knew with this new relationship my broken heart would mend.
we grew closer everyday
together is where we wanted to stay.
staring into your eyes
you put me into a certain state
thats when i realized that your my soulmate.
now you want me to be your wife
with you i'll spend the rest of my life.
you've changed my life in so many ways
and i'll be thanking you until the end of our days.
